𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑴𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒄𝒐

Anastasia Guzmán “Sonaranda” is a tradition and avant-garde guitarist of Mexican and Latin American music. Guitarist, songwriter and singer-musician born in Mexico City, she made a career of a concert guitarist in the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She graduated with an Instrumentalist Degree in Guitar.

Her training pillars are Julio César Oliva, Marco Antonio Anguiano and Miguel Peña, and she has complemented his training with courses in composition, guitar, harmony, jazz, singing popular and traditional music with renowned teachers in each field.

Her music has been played in America, Europe, Africa and Asia, as a soloist, in a variety of ensembles and with outstanding national and international guitarists. With the National Fund for Culture and the Arts, she has collaborated as a fellow on two occasions, and as a jury in the programs, Traditional Mexican Musicians and Young Creators. She gives lectures, courses and specialised workshops on Mexican and Latin American Guitar.
